I have been a patient of DEERWOOD Dental Group for over 30 years. I started at their Westside Clinic. When that was closed I started coming to their other clinic. I have enjoyed 30 years of excellent dental care. A lot of the employees also go back many years. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. McMahan has talked great care of my teeth. Always do my research before important medical appointments, especially dental visits. I chose this office based on the reviews, but honestly, the 5-star rating didn't reflect my experience. I originally came in for a routine cleaning and X-rays and had no pain or issues at all. Later, I had a few fillings done here, and ever since then, I've been dealing with pain. I'm not sure whether it's the materials they use or their technique, but something wasn't right. The staff were friendly, but the equipment seemed outdated. They also don't use an air-water syringe to rinse debris from your mouth during procedures—they rely mainly on a saliva ejector, which isn't enough in my opinion. My mouth would still have a bad taste afterward. Another issue was that after every filling, I had to come back to have my bite adjusted. For two filling appointments, I ended up making four trips to the office in total. What really wasn't nice to me was that at the end of my treatment, Dr. Amy suddenly told me I had another tooth that needed a filling, even though it wasn't mentioned in my original treatment plan or service summary. It gave me the impression that they were trying to bill my insurance

We’ve been going to Deerwood Dental for over 5 years and have been extremely pleased with the care we’ve received. Making appointments is easy, the staff is warm and friendly and most importantly, they are competent. Dr McMahon is excellent and fast. We couldn’t be more pleased.

My hygienist Lisa Ross did an amazing job cleaning my teeth! This was my first time seeing her and I could instantly tell that I was going to love her. She was very knowledgeable and explained things very well. This was the first cleaning I've ever had where my gums/teeth don’t hurt or throb after a cleaning. My teeth feel beautiful! And of course Dr. Clark is and amazing dentist with a great sense of humor. 10/10

From booking an appointment to the appointment itself, great service! The staff made me feel welcome and comfortable throughout the whole process. My hygienist, Alyssa was wonderful and even though I don’t have anxiety surrounding dental work, it still was nice for her to talk me through everything she was doing. I will happily continue to see Deerwood Dental for my dental needs.
